Description

After witnessing that P-body gets kicked in the crotch a lot (and that the behind-the-scene's commentators refer to him as a "he" ) i'm pretty sure he's a guy~ (a very feminine guy, but okay~)

and here's the BRO-HUG! WOOT!

Atlas and P-Body (c) Vavle

In case you are still curious (since nobody gave a proper answer for the past 7 years), the genders of ATLAS and P-Body are confirmed by the designer, Eric Wolpaw, in this interview...

ATLAS and P-Body also originally had models where the masculine and feminine qualities were much more apparent.

If you go back even earlier, it was originally conceived that both co-op characters were going to be human females. The first player would play as Chell, from the singleplayer story, and the second player would play as a woman named Mel. This idea was eventually scrapped, and the two were replaced with ATLAS and P-Body. Mel's character was never finalized, and her ingame model was a palette swap of the Portal 1 version of Chell...
